You can expect to see many more releases in future from the Big Tuna camp.Sova’s recruitment storyline comes to a conclusion on planet Teatakanya, as you partake in one winner-takes-all championship bout in the Teelee Fighting Championship. In 2013 Genetix launched they're own label "Big Tuna" The first release entitled "$$$ Ep" saw support from Skream and Benga on radio 1 and reached no.7 in the beatport chart. Genetix also completed 3 daily dose's of dubstep for Mista Jams 1xtra show. Genetix's deeper productions have also made a big impact with support from Youngsta, J Kenzo, Skream and Benga, N-Type & Walsh amonst many others. They're remix shedule has been a hectic one to say the least with artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Timabaland, Drumsound and Bassline Smith and Aquasky under they're belts. A collab with Funtcase and some of they're solo tracks saw releases on Circus Records amonst others. Since then the duo have continued to raise the bar with many vinyl and digital releases across all aspects of dubstep.

They're debut production"Squid Attack" caught the attention of the scene in a big way with support from the likes of Nero, Having produced they're fair share of D&B they decided to try they're hands at dubstep. Genetix is the combination of two people, Matt Sharp and Rich Dawson.The pair started out producing D&B in late 2006 under various alias's and built up a large catalogue of vinyl and digital releases. With UA003, not to mention his other releases forthcoming on the label, Seven has cemented his position as one of this year's exciting prospects. Seven has always been known for both his quality productions and forward-thinking music, but UA003 is arguably the best addition to his back catalogue yet. 'Walter White', is in my opinion, one of the best tracks we've had from this London producer. Having recently (november 2012) founded his own label, Uprise Audio, this year saw Seven mark his inaugural release on the imprint with the impeccable UA003.
2012 saw Seven's first LP on the highly regarded Black Box Records a 12 track/ 70m behemoth that garnered significant support within the dubstep community and many quality reviews.īut I feel it's 2013 where Seven has truly make his mark on dubstep. Seven's release catalogue has grown significantly since his Tempa debut, having had tunes signed to N-Type's imprint Wheel & Deal as well as Subway, Aquatic Lab and more. I first met him in late 2009 - and have since watched the producer and DJ grow in stature within both the London and global dubstep communities. He soon caught the eyes and ears of the dubstep faithful, releasing his debut 'Sirens' on the legendary Tempa Allstars 5 compilation. It was in 2008, however, that Edward found his true calling as a producer.Įdward rebranded to 'Seven' and joined London's young but vibrant dubstep community, after making the move to 140bpm.
With a discography stretching back almost a decade, and a dubs folder rumoured to be in the high three figures, it's hard to fathom just how big Edward Berry's lasting mark on the UK dance music scene is and will be in the future.Įdward started his musical career as a drum & bass producer, gaining recognition with a number of singles on DnB godfather's Andy C labels 'Ram', 'Frequency' and 'High Lite Recordings'.
